Free-range pigs raised to the highest welfare standards

The Gittus family have been rearing pigs for over a century and they form part of our business’ DNA. Our pigs are kept free-range and are raised with care and compassion to the highest welfare standards on the Breckland Sands of Suffolk.

The pigs are born outdoors and remain outdoors all their lives with the freedom to shelter in straw-bedded huts.The piglets are weaned at four weeks of age and moved into one-acre field paddocks, where they are able to roam until they go to slaughter at around six months of age.

We work flexibly with our customers to cater to a range of requirements, from supplying piglets through to finishers. We have experience of rare breeds and rare breed crosses that could be tailored to meet your needs.

We currently supply to online butchers, Priors Hall Farm, whose aim is to provide customers with great tasting high quality meat products and to offer an outstanding personal service.
